3 Things to Consider When Choosing a Wedding Venue

When planning on hosting an event such as a birthday party, wedding, conference, or funeral, there are many things to think about, primarily the venue. It is overall the venue that makes the event one to remember. The date, theme, activities, and atmosphere all rely on the venue you choose. It can feel a little intimidating when your mind thinks about all these things at once, but it doesn’t have to be! Have a look at these three guidelines when selecting the perfect venue for your wedding.

#1 Location

The venue you choose needs to have a location that is easily accessible for your attending guests. If your venue is too far or too difficult to find, most attendees will give you a million reasons for not attending. When considering a location, keep in mind where your guests are currently residing; is it a reasonable distance to travel? In every case, do not forget about traffic, parking, and transportation. If you do not want guests to be late, provide them with a mobile event application. Mobile event applications will give you and your guests a feeling of relief because it offers services such as GPS, driving directions and parking or shuttle information.

#2 Capacity

It is essential to search for a venue that will be perfect for the number of guests you invite. A venue that can only accommodate 130 guests will not be adequate for the 300 guests you invited. Also, with the Covid-19 restrictions having a massive impact on the number of guests allowed at social gatherings and in enclosed spaces, you need to find out how many people the venue can accommodate with regards to these policies. After all, you and your guests want to feel comfortable and relaxed. If you want your guests to reside on the venue grounds for the night, check if there are enough rooms available for everyone who would like to stay over. This is something you should enquire about with your guests beforehand and can also be done from the mobile event application mentioned earlier.

#3 Services And Amenities

If you are willing to pay for a venue, make sure that it provides the services and amenities you are looking for. You do not want to hire a venue and then do all the work yourself? Does the venue provide kitchen and catering services? The part that most guests are excited about is eating, especially if they traveled a long distance to get there. Check the food options in advance to be sure of your choices in selecting venues. Except for sufficient bathrooms, does the venue provide fireplaces for the winter and aircon for the summer? There is nothing more frustrating than being too cold or too warm and not being able to do anything about it. If you decide to host an event in the summer, make sure that the available aircons are in working condition- it would be a good idea to have a 24 Hour AC Repair as an emergency contact that day.

There is a lot more planning ahead of you until the big day, but when you secure these three things when planning a venue, the rest will feel like a piece of cake.
