Always dreamed of that one designer jewelry item or beautiful gold earrings set with diamonds? But unfortunately you do not have the necessary resources, or just don’t want to spend thousands on fine jewelry? Weddings are a huge investment including fine jewelry to match your wedding dress. The founder of Trejours came up with a solution because now you can simply rent those items and save thousands of dollars.
The concept is simple, you can virtually browse around the website and find precious necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Instead of paying full price you can rent jewelry for 2 weeks. Perfect for special occasions, weddings, birthdays or just because you need some new items in your wardrobe. It is convenient and you won’t break the bank! Read the interview to find out more.
How did you come up with the idea for your service?
I’ve been a jeweler for over ten years. Ever since gold prices went through the roof a few years back, the jewelry business has never been the same. Women very rarely can afford $2000 fashion ring anymore, so the fine fashion jewelry business has dwindled down to nothing. We are talking gold and diamond earrings and necklaces, genuine gemstone cocktail rings, gold Cartier love bangles… they have become prohibitively expensive to own. So, I decided to change that. I launched a fine jewelry rental platform called Trejours at www.trejours.com. Women can borrow jewelry right out of their smartphone, for two weeks at a time, for as little as one dollar per day. There is no commitment, it’s easy, it’s affordable, and the jewelry gets shipped right to your door for free. It doesn’t get any better than that.
What does your work entail?
My work as the owner of the company is to introduce the brand to women, and demonstrate that this is the new Uber of fine jewelry. Also, I am reaching out to independent jewelers throughout the country who want to put their own merchandise for rent, but need the safety and security that Trejours provides (all jewelry is fully insured) Trejours is more than a store, it’s a marketplace, like Amazon, but for jewelry rental. The response so far has been great from customers.
What is your greatest achievement so far?
On a personal level, my greatest achievement so far was building the site through battling breast cancer. On a larger scale, it’s rolling out to market a new way for millennials to wear jewelry, and creating a fun, light-hearted brand such as Trejours.
Where can our readers find you online?
Readers can find Trejours at www.trejours.com, on Instagram at @trejoursrentals and on Facebook, of course. And yes, we are on Pinterest. I can also offer a discount code for $10 off the first rental to your audience if they decide to try it out. Discount code is BORROWT
Any advice for someone considering to have a wedding business?
Wedding expenses can quickly add up, so consider borrowing jewelry for the bride and bridesmaids for that one day. Doesn’t it say somewhere about something Borrowed, anyway?
