Spring 2018 Bridal Fashion Week dress trends

Bridal fashion week

Dear beautiful future brides, this spring of 2018, knowing the latest trends and the importance of glamour on your special day, fashion designers have designed dresses that will swipe you off your feet. This Bridal Fashion Week season, the focus is on elegance and sophistication, and the main focus of designers this spring happens to be glorious silk and black accents, which makes wedding dresses stand out from everything we have seen in previous few seasons.

Well respected wedding dress designers were busy creating something rather special for our brides. Besides clarity enhanced diamonds the accent is now on subtle elegance and the quality of material, combined with modern 20th century fashion elements and vintage chic. These dresses give wide spectrum of choice to future brides, and combine modern details and femininity. Some will be worn by brave brides, ready to try something new, and some are the classical epitome of elegance and femininity, with a dash of dreamy.

Silk and satin wedding dresses

This season, silk and satin dresses greatly dominated the runway and were part of almost every gown collection. Free-flowing dresses, mermaid style gowns, lace patterns and V-neck tops which put the accent on natural woman’s femininity and the cleavage, gently hugging the waist were among gowns designers prepared for brides for the first spring of 2018. Silk gowns were decorated with large bows, ribbons and tassels, making even the simples geometric dress look astonishingly beautiful, adding statement to bridal look.

A touch of glamour

Designers got rather creative, and bridal dresses for that special day are remarkably outstanding and unique. From bell sleeves to jumpsuit, this season proves to break the tradition of classical wedding dress stereotype as we know it. Everything is about originality. While many designers embraced the idea of silky flowing gowns, others were inspired by the idea of implementing cascading ruffles, adding more glamour to the pieces they presented on a runaway.

Feminine softness

While the latest Bridal Fashion Week did not go without without gorgeous cascading ruffles, many designers decided to go after sleeveless silk dresses, designed to hug the figure of brides and complement the curves of the body, adding a feminine softness to the look. Willowby by Waters and Mira Zwillinger were among those who presented such dresses. The accent this season was on free-flowing gowns, simple, yet detailed and effective silk pieces.
